Playing for the Barnet teams
Barnet Schools Chess Association enters teams for the English Primary Schools Chess Association Inter-Association Championships. They compete with teams from all over the country, e.g. Sussex, Somerset and Yorkshire. Players going to school or living in Barnet and neighbouring boroughs are eligible for the 3 teams: Under 11, Under 9 and Girls Under 11.
EPSCA includes the boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Harrow within the Barnet Chess area.
The selection committee looks at performance in Barnet and EPSCA designated tournaments when assessing players for the teams and for deciding the board order, as well as performance in previous team events and other local and national tournaments. Download the team selection policy here.
