Individual Championships 2012
219 players took part in our annual individual championships on Sunday 22nd January at Queen Elizabeth’s School, Barnet. It was a fantastic day of chess played to very high standards. The Barnet selectors will now have plenty to consider before picking the squads for the forthcoming EPSCA team zones. The section winners were as follows (click on the section title for the full cross table):
Under 7 – Alexander Jamieson (Barnet champions – Max Marcuson, Louis Pike)
Under 9 – Joshua Altman (Barnet champion and Barnet Under 8 champion – Leo Sanitt)
Under 11 – Jacob Conor Boswell (Barnet Under 11 champion – Joe Lindsay, Barnet Under 10 champion – Gabriel Balouka-Myers)
Under 12 – Girinath Haridas (Barnet champion – George Ivanov)
Under 14 – Jonathan Pein (Barnet champion – Jonathan Pein)
